1. Return of the Street Fighter (1974) is a Japanese film. If it is still under copyright in Japan, it is probably still under copyright in the U.S.

2. There is no such film as Tarzan the Ape Man (1938).

3. You cannot find any renewals for any films released before 1950 at the government's copyright site.

The renewal register for the first half of 1959 reveals

TARZAN, THE APE MAN, a photoplay In ten
reels by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Dis-
tributing Corp. (C) l4Mar32; L2913
Loew's, Inc. (PWH); 17Mar59;
R233163.

Conclusion:

1. Tarzan the Ape Man (1932) is still under copyright.

2. Return of the Street Fighter is probably under copyright.

Is it possible that the english dub versions of the street fighter series are Public Domain? I believe they are owned by Newline Cinema... but The Street fighter has no notice (the english dub) but The Return of the Streetfighter does have a notice at the end of the credits for Newline Cinema... and the copy of Last revenge also has a notice in the opening credits for Newline. But I'm pretty sure that The english dub of the first one could be PD if there aren't any underlying copyrights from Japan... Can someone tell me if this is correct at all?

Sorry about that, Tarzan the Ape Man was made in 1932.

Return of the Street Fighter is can be found here.
http://www.archive.org/details/Return_of_The_Street_Fighter

If Return of the Street Fighter is not Public Domain, it should be removed, the other Street Fighter Movies should be checked for copyright also.

Tarzan the ape man is not on IA, or at least not anymore.

I believe the English Dubs of Return and Revenge are both under copyright. The copies I have have notices. However, the first in the trilogy does not have a notice in the opening or closing credits. There aren't any closing credits actually... I believe that the Newline Cinema English Dub of Street Fighter might be Public Domain

First pic is Return
second pic is revenge

As Moongleam noted, The Streetfighter (1974) is a Japanese film. English dubbing doesn't alter the GATT copyright of the underlying movie. The same goes for Return of the Street Fighter (1974) and The Streetfighter's Last Revenge (1974). That is, UNLESS the makers of the Americanized pictures got more than distribution rights, which seems unlikely, but possible. Checking that is way beyond my pay grade.
